Our 3 core competencies

Feasibility studiesI

The competence center supports companies and public institutions in identifying areas in which the use of blockchain and AI makes sense and is relevant, and shows how these technologies can have a positive impact on business processes and activities, for example by increasing efficiency or saving costs.

ImplementationII

Together with specialized software companies for blockchain and/or AI, practical solutions are developed that are integrated into the organization’s existing ecosystem. A particular focus is placed on programming applications (e.g., using machine learning) that make the technologies immediately usable.

TrainingIII

In the future, the most important competency of employees will be the ability to effectively use and operate AI technologies. To ensure that the entire team has the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively use AI applications and maximize their potential, we offer workshops and specialized training.

The Competence Center for Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain in South Tyrol is a hub for teaching, research, development, and implementation of innovative technologies in these fields. Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science, biology and linguistics that focuses on creating machines and systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as recognizing speech or making decisions. Companies can apply AI in a variety of ways to improve their operations and gain a competitive advantage. For example, AI can be used to analyze large amounts of data, such as customer data and sales data, to identify patterns and trends that can inform business decisions. AI can also be used to automate repetitive or time-consuming tasks, such as data entry and customer service. Additionally, AI can be used to create more personalized experiences for customers, such as through chatbots or personalized product recommendations. Overall, by using AI, companies can gain insights and make decisions faster, improve customer service and boost revenue, streamline operations, and reduce costs.

Blockchain Technology

Blockchain technology is a system of decentralized, digital ledgers that records transactions across networks of computers. Each block in the chain contains a number of transactions, and every time a new transaction is added to the block, it is added to the chain and cannot be altered. This creates a permanent, unchangeable record of all transactions, which is stored across multiple devices and locations, making it extremely difficult to hack or corrupt. This technology is most commonly associated with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, but it has many other potential uses including supply chain management, identity verification, insurance management, and international financial transactions.
